The primary way to earn money on TestingTime is by participate in studies.

There are a variety of studies that can be found on the platform, including:

• User tests: Provide feedback on websites, apps, and other products.
• Focus groups: Participate in group discussions with other users.
• Interviews: Have conversations with researchers to share your thoughts and experiences.
• Online surveys: Complete questionnaires for researchers.
• Diary studies: Document parts of your daily life relevant, typically over multiple days or weeks.

Other ways to earn money on TestingTime include:

• Referrals. Earn 5 EUR for every person who registers with us using your personal link and successfully participates in a study.

Once you have at least €21 in your balance, you can cash out your TestingTime earnings via Direct Deposit or PayPal.

After cashing out, you can expect to receive your TestingTime payout in 1-12 days. (Payouts are processed within 10 business days of the request.)

Setting up a TestingTime study is quite straightforward. When you're creating a test, you'll be asked for:

• Project name
• Study type/location (moderated user test, unmoderated user test, focus group, interview, online survey, or diary study)
• Target audience (you can target TestingTime testers or bring your own)
• Screening questions (optional)
• Device requirements
• Duration
• Schedule
• Instructions

Base Study Rates:

• User test moderated: €60 per participant
• User test unmoderated: €25 per participant
• Workshop/Focus group: €60 per participant
• Interview: €60 per participant
• Online survey: €6 per participant
• Diary study: €20 per participant

Additional factors:

• Location: Remote studies are the cheapest option. Studies at your location or a participant's home cost an extra €45 per participant.
• Participant targeting: Defining your target audience with additional standard criteria (age, location, gender, language, device skills) increases the cost per participant by €5 each, depending on the type of study you're conducting.
• Screener Questions: Creating screener questions to target specific participants (e.g., "shops online twice a month") adds a cost per criterion.
  • User test moderated/unmoderated: €10 per criterion per participant
  • Workshop/Focus group, Interview: €10 per criterion per participant
  • Online survey: €1 per criterion per participant
  • Diary study: €6 per criterion per participant
• Study Logistics: Backup participants for last-minute cancellations cost extra (percentage of total price).
• Documents: Uploading documents for participants to sign (NDAs, etc.) costs €10 per participant.

TestingTime also offers prepay packages for frequent researchers. These offer discounted rates if you're willing to pay upfront to get credits to use throughout the year. Unused credits roll over to your next purchase. Packages start at €5,000 and go up to €50,000.
