Earning Money ๐ต
The primary way to earn money on Tester Work is by testing websites and apps. There are 3 main types of tests you'll run into:
- Exploratory testing. Freely explore and run your own tests to ensure all components and features work properly and are accessible to users without issues.
- Scripted testing (test case execution). Carry out a series of actions based on a specific set of instructions to verify the actual results are the same as the expected results. In some cases these will be done manually by you, in others you'll be using the Tester Work test runner to run scripted tests and verifying the results.
- Usability testing. These let you evaluate the user-friendliness and design of an app or website and provide feedback based on your user experience to make the necessary improvements.
Payment varies per test and you can see how much you can earn on the test invitation. However, the platform has a ranking system in place that rewards testers who maintain consistency and deliver frequent high-quality bug reports. This allows testers to have a higher earning potential and more testing opportunities.
By default, you start under the Bronze tier but you can earn more money as you advance through the ranks, with the payment multiplier increasing at higher tiers listed as follows:
- Elite: Top 5% of testers, earning double the base payment (2x).
- Diamond: Top 10% of testers, earning 1.8 times the base payment.
- Platinum: Top 20% of testers, earning 1.6 times the base payment.
- Gold: Top 30% of testers, earning 1.4 times the base payment.
- Silver: Top 40% of testers, earning 1.2 times the base payment.
- Bronze: Entry-level, earning the base payment (1.0x).

A good way of making money on the side
An easy to use website with plenty of opportunities for those in the right countries
- An easy way to make money especially for those who spend a lot of time on their computers
- Not a lot of opportunities for people outside American countries
- Sometimes it's impossible to find bugs in some products resulting in no pay for hours spent bug hunting
- Sign up and do your best. Test the products as a normal everyday user would use them and if you are lucky you'll find bugs
