Misrepresentation of worker relationship and unfair practices.
The company has a great idea and a platform that could work but they are not only letting greed get the better of them as they mistreat the workers, but creating a work environment that does not foster productive work morale. If they want to treat their workers like employees, they need to provide them with the legal provisions such as unemployment and insurance since the worker is obligated to answer to them as employees required in any other situation. That, or they need to give the worker their freedoms that come with being a contractor and be held accountable for their actions.
I saw this site as a godsend when signing up and onboarding. The pay was $20 set by the site for the writing projects I was accepted to. Remotasks enforces that you must be labeled as a 1099 Contract Worker. Which is strange seeing as they dictate your pay without negotiation of terms. I had no say on how I completed the supposed contract work, including what tools, the environment, and was informed I had to complete a minimum of 20 hours per week at an hourly rate like an employee. I was even required later on to provide a resume and participated in a live interview with one of their staff members. One of this relates to a contractor relationship.
The least tolerable aspect of this company has to be the support they claim to provide the worker. There is no sense of urgency when you file a ticket. I had it take 2 or 3 months to get any kind of non canned response about bonuses they promoted and did not deliver. One I was awarded with 3 months after the fact and the rest I was told were sent to me as a mistake so they were not valid even though I completed my end of the deal. I am currently "suspended" from the site with no route to appeal with out a reason for doing so. I am also owed $12,100 for a transaction between the company and I that is supposedly due to a processor error but since giving them a new account to send the money to they have since stopped responding to my emails two weeks ago.
The ratings I have left reflect the reality of working for this company once you are onboarded. They expect you to work so many hours which is great for those who need the work but they boot you from projects without warning and leave you in the dark until their algorithm decides to pick you back up for another project that leaves you vulnerable to the same treatment again.

Remotask borders on being a scam. They're that bad. They aren't worth wasting the time on. So many things are bad with Remotask. They don't pay for all work performed. Creating a ticket about it only gets you a "We don't know what went wrong, but we're looking into it." response, regardless of how many tickets you open to try to get paid. You get pulled from a project and dumped into another one frequently. This company does mass hiring and when they hit a certain number, you can count on being "banned" for no reason. They want workers who are fresh, rather than those that are reliable and provide quality work. Workers appear to be disposable. This company is highly disorganized and unprofessional.

Easy way to earn money even with no previous skills
The platform has very interesting tasks and proper completion will improve taskers ratings and increase their pay I would only recommend the platform to serious and consistent taskers since low ratings will lead to being banned by the platform

- One also doesn't require previous skills to join remotasks...the platform offers short courses on the tasks available
- Tasks aren't always available
- Most tasks have low pay hence not a reliable way of making money
- Taskers who use mobile phones may find it difficult to navigate and complete tasks
- Take the trainings seriously to improve your earnings
- Join the teams on slack to get important information

Pay is far lower than advertised.
The platform is a mess. Random bugs. Constantly getting removed from projects and added to new ones with no explanation.
They are too cheap and lazy to train their workers, so instead they have them watch long, tedious training videos counts. You receive no clear feedback about your work, and it seems arbitrary who gets promoted or demoted. Since there is no communication, it's not even possible to know whether your performance was actually substandard or whether you were removed by one of the platform's many bugs or an incompetent person reviewing your work.
Even the slack channels are totally disorganized chaos, with one giant thread and no feedback at all.
Just a complete disaster.
INCOMPETENT AND UNPROFESSIONAL, A FRAUD, A JOKE!
I was working as an AI trainer completing tasks in field of expertise, Nutrition. After just a few days (as I was SUCCESSFULLY completing my tasks, i.e., they were accepted), I was informed that I was removed from my projects because of "low quality" work, and I was "in violation of Community Guidelines." I have absolutely no idea what they are talking about.
I proceeded to inquire via 'support' as to what is 'low quality' so that I could make any appropriate improvements in my tasking work. I inquired numerous times ... each time I received a canned response stating that I did "low quality" work. I NEVER received any hint of a reason or explanation. Then I received a response stating that - "not to worry" - I would be allocated to a different project category, but IF I received another warning flag, I would be let go entirely.
Well, the fact is that I NEVER even received an INITIAL warning in the first place!! Actually, I received TWO separate emails stating that I would be reassigned. However, I soon received a response from a different rep stating that I was removed from ALL tasking, i.e., let go. Once again, NO WARNINGS, NO REASON GIVEN, AND NO EXPLANATION.
This is a completely incompetent and unprofessional organization. To accept an individual as an AI trainer after completing a screening process that took around 2 hours to complete ... and then hiring that individual ... and then giving that individual several tasks which he successfully completed ... to just boot that individual out the door without a specific reason or explanation?? I would say that's pretty bush league. This company is a complete a joke and a fraud. They should be investigated.

that was my first time like to try a platform and im very happy because its really true, not a scam i swear, maybe if i don't have work and my mother was not sick, i'm able to focused and to learn more. to explore also the hard part of that paltfofrm.

Remotasks- Microtask Projects
Overall, My experience with Remotasks was good. A few things I would change, some mentioned below, but for the day and a half of work on a Project, and to advance after half of day to expert and being paid that for a day and a half almost 2, was fairly decent, an the Payout was of minimal waiting and easy setup as far as platform.
I enjoyed the opportunity to actually do what i loved, (write) and actually get paid for my gifts and talent, and was paid pretty decently for almost 2 days, and to have never done that level of writing before. It was a learning experience, and skills i can add to my Resume and Career Bio.
Project Abrupt shifts, or EQ'S, and no tasks availability after your hard work, and becoming acclimated to the Platform and being ready to continue onward with other projects.
I didn't like the Abruptness when moving from one project to another, No forewarning or completing everything, just shifting and trying to learn another project, after just starting and newly learning a previous one.
