Getting Started 🔢
To become a ReceiptPal member, download the app either on Google Play or Apple App Store and register for a new account. You can sign up using a Gmail, AOL, Hotmail, Outlook.com, or Yahoo email address.
Earning Money 💵
The primary way to earn money on the ReceiptPal app is by submitting receipts.
You can submit both physical receipts (by scanning them into the app) and e-receipts (by connecting your email(s) and/or retail accounts). Receipts from any store or retailer are accepted.
Physical receipts must be scanned within (about) a week of the purchase being made.
What makes ReceiptPal different from a lot of other receipt cashback apps is that, rather than pay you directly for each receipt, you'll need to fill out point cards to earn.
As a new user, you'll receive 5 point cards (the max you can hold). From there, ReceiptPal will give you a max of 3 new point cards every week.
To complete a point card, you need to submit 4 valid receipts. A completed point card will earn you 100 points ($0.227-$0.27) and an "instant win" game prize, which can be either more points or more sweepstakes entries.
Other ways to earn on ReceiptPal include:
- One-time bonuses. Connect your Amazon, Starbucks, Instacart, Walmart, or Kroger account to the ReceiptPal app to earn one-time bonus points.
- Sweepstakes. ReceiptPal runs multiple weekly sweepstakes for cash prizes and other rewards. Each validated receipt you upload will give you one sweepstakes entry. And, if you finish all your point cards for the week, any additional receipts you upload will give you additional sweepstake entries, with e-receipts giving two entries per receipt.
Cashing Out 💰
Once you have at least $5 (~1,852-2,203 Points) in your balance, you can cash out your ReceiptPal earnings via Gift Cards or Prepaid Credit Cards.
After cashing out, you can expect to receive your ReceiptPal payout instantly.

ReceiptPal is easy to use and has a friendly interface.
Very handy and easy to use. A good site for receipt management and rewards that offers a bit of side income for something everyone does. When stacked, it is possible to make a significant out of money off of any one receipt while having six to seven different apps installed.
- Convenient
- Easy to use
- Quick processing
- Extra rewards for quantity
- Limitations on receipt types
- Limitations on sites that are scanned for e-receipts
- Hard limit on how many receipts can be uploaded per week
- No straight PayPal cashout
- Strive to meet the receipt requirements to avoid rejection
- Keep in mind the weekly limits of receipt uploads on the app
- I upload every receipt I can find as often as I find them. And scan for new purchases every time I buy anything using either of my emails.

Very easy to use, requires only a few seconds of time each day, and is a nice way to make a little extra money on the side
In general, I've been happy with my experience with ReceiptPal! It's a very easy app to use, so even though I haven't made a ton of money off of it, I would definitely say it has been worth the few seconds each day that it takes to upload receipts.
Even though I do have a few small complaints, none of those things have had a very big negative impact on my experience, so I definitely still think it's something that is worth doing. I have never had any major issues with getting the gift cards I have requested, so I feel that they are pretty reliable.
The only thing keeping me from actively using ReceiptPal right now is the fact that the most recent update does not work on my version of iOS, so as soon as I am able to do so, I will begin using the app again.
- It's a very passive way to earn extra money. It takes a somewhat long time to earn rewards, but it's so easy to use that it's worth it. It's just another small bonus to have, which is nice.
- They accept receipts from anywhere, so basically anything can be submitted.
- I like the overall way that the app works, as it's a bit different from other receipt scanning apps I've seen -- each week, you get new cards, and for each one, you can scan four receipts. For each completed card, you also get a bonus, which can be either a certain number of sweepstakes entries or additional points to go towards a reward. You can also scan additional receipts after all of the cards are full in order to earn sweepstakes entries, but I usually don't do this unless I happen to have receipts that I know will be too old to scan the next week.
- They keep a log of all the receipts you have scanned with the dates, where the receipts came from, and how much you spent. They also keep the photo of the receipt. I don't really use this for any specific purpose, but I think it would be nice for some people to use it as a way to keep track of spending, and I do think it's just kind of interesting to look at.
- They want you to link both your email address and your Amazon account. Neither of these things are explicitly necessary (at least last I checked), but you have to have them in order to get better-value rewards (earning more money for the amount of points redeemed), and I'm not really comfortable with either. I actually ended up linking an email address that I almost never use just so that I could get to the better rewards, as I don't buy a lot of things online anyway and didn't really want them having access to my emails. I rarely use Amazon, but I wasn't really comfortable with that either, so I haven't linked my Amazon account at all.
- Earning rewards takes awhile, although this isn't really a huge issue for me since it's a very easy and passive way of earning rewards in general.
- I wish they offered more gift card options.
- I don't like that the new version of the app is not available for anything older than iOS 13! I will definitely resume using it once I do finally update my phone, though.
- Points expire relatively quickly if you don't use the app for awhile and don't redeem them. When I had to stop using the app because of the new update, I was pretty close to making another $10, but all of those points have now expired, so they won't be there when I am able to use it again. I think the time limit before the points expire at least should be a bit longer.
- Make sure you scan the older receipts that you have before the newer ones, as you will be more likely to be able to make use of all of them
- Always make sure that you include all the necessary information (where the receipt is from, the date, and the amount of money spent) in each receipt photo
- Don't get rid of your receipts until after they have been approved. That way, if you did accidentally crop out some information, or something else is wrong with the photo, you will still be able to take another photo and try again if the receipt is initially rejected.

Pays decently and it's easy to work with.
This app is a great way to make consistent earnings. If you rack up a lot of receipts throughout the day you could be making $5 or so every few weeks which is a decent amount for scanning receipts. The digital rewards offer cashback for online purchases too which is another good way to earn. There are also weekly sweepstakes if you're lucky enough to win one.
I would recommend this app to anyone who shops frequently or anyone looking to make some extra side money.
- Cashback for all purchases with receipts since it's free and takes little time
- Cashback for digital purchases because it's automatic and credits right away
- Gift card withdrawal options to cash out your earnings and spend with
- No paypal or bank options to withdrawal, which I use most often for physical goods.
- Keep scanned and un-scanned receipts separate to avoid confusion. I save up my receipts each week and upload them all at the end.
- Keep receipts up to date since there's a time limit on how long you can upload them
- Link online retail accounts for more points
