Becoming a ReceiptJar member is free. To get started, download the ReceiptJar app from the Google Play Store or Apple App store and create an account.

During signup, you'll be asked for your:

There are a variety of ways to earn/save money on ReceiptJar:

1. Receipt Uploads: Scan and upload your in-store receipts or connect your online accounts (like your email, Amazon account, etc.) to automatically upload online receipts. Over 11,000+ retailers are accepted including grocery stores, pharmacies, beauty stores, restaurants and cafes, fast food joints, butchers, bakeries, liquor stores, convenience stores, gas stations, apparel, general merchandise, pet stores, and more.
   • Once you earn over 120 points in a week or upload 20 receipts (whichever comes first), each subsequent receipt upload for the week will only pay a max of 5 points.
   • You can only upload 3 receipts per day for the same store.
   • You'll earn instant bonus points for linking certain accounts for online receipts. For example, you'll get 100 points when you link your Amazon account for the first time.
2. Weekly rewards and the golden jar.
   • Upload at least 1 receipt in a week to earn shakes.
   • Use your shakes to play the Shake Game for the chance to win up to 25,000 points.
   • By consistently uploading receipts every week for four weeks in a row, you'll unlock the Golden Jar, which gives even more bonus points. You can increase your Golden Jar rewards by leveling up (more info on levels below).
3. Referral Bonus: Earn 200 points for referring new members to ReceiptJar using your unique referral code. You'll get the 200 point bonus when your referral uploads their first receipt.
4. Monthly checklist bonus. (Only available for some users.) Upload your first receipt, connect your email for online receipt uploads, complete your profile survey, and upload at least 4 approved receipts within the required time period to earn a 100 point bonus. You'll also earn a varying number of points for doing each task on the checklist.
5. Surveys. You may receive surveys from ReceiptJar related to your shopping habits, though these don't seem very common.

Leveling up: As you upload receipts to ReceiptJar, you'll earn experience points. Each receipt = 1 XP. The more XP you gain, the higher your level will be, with the max level being 30. Higher levels will increase your weekly/golden jar rewards, give you faster payout speeds, and other perks.

Once you have at least $5 (~1,000 Points) in your balance, you can cash out your ReceiptJar earnings via Gift Cards, PayPal or Prepaid Credit Cards.

After cashing out, you can expect to receive your ReceiptJar payout in 1-30 days. (In most cases, rewards and sent within 5 business days, however this can take 30-180 days in rare cases. Higher level members are more likely to receive their payouts faster.)
