To join PeoplePerHour as a freelancer, you'll need to submit an application. This involves first providing your email or signing in via a Facebook account. From there, you'll be asked to upload a profile picture of yourself, your job title, location, top skills, a bit about you, and your primary language.
Most applications are reviewed within 7 business days, but this can be fast-tracked for a fee.

Earning Money 💵
There are two primary ways to land jobs and earn money on PeoplePerHour:
- Posting offers. These are predefined service packages that you can create. Clients can search for/find them on the platform and hire you directly.
- Applying to projects. Clients post projects when they have a specific job they need doing. You can search for and apply for jobs that match your skills by sending proposals. All users get 15 free proposal credits per month (more can be purchased if needed).
Once you land a paying client, you can communicate with them about the job and get paid directly through PeoplePerHour.
Cashing Out 💰
Once you have at least $23.00 in your balance, you can cash out your PeoplePerHour earnings via Direct Deposit, Payoneer or PayPal.

PeoplePerHour buyers (i.e. clients, companies, business owners) can sign up and either post new projects for freelancers to apply to or browse through already-prepared fixed-price work. From there, they can hire, communicate, and make payments directly on the platform.

You can hire freelancers on PeoplePerHour either by:
- Purchasing pre-made offers. Pre-made offers are created by freelancers and outline a specific service (e.g. "Design a logo").
- Posting jobs. If you have more specific needs, you can post a custom project for freelancers to apply to. Once you receive some applications, you can review them and make hires.
When you're working with a freelancer on PeoplePerHour, all communications and payments go directly through the platform. After the work is complete, you can (optionally) leave a review on the freelancer's profile. If you're not happy with the work, you can request revisions or a refund.
Pricing 🏷️
PeoplePerHour pricing varies based on custom freelancer rates and the pricing you set on your job listings.
When you hire someone, you must pay some or all of the project price upfront into an Escrow account. If the total project costs are less than $40, you'll need to pay the full price upfront. Otherwise, you'll be required to pay anywhere from 30%-50% of the project price upfront.
If you're unsatisfied with the delivered work, you can request a refund and it'll be reviewed by PeoplePerHour.
