How Does Google Opinion Rewards Work?
For Users
Google Opinion Rewards users can earn money by answering short surveys. After accumulating at least $2.00, earnings can be cashed out via PayPal or Google Play Credits.
Getting started:
Joining Google Opinion Rewards is completely free. To get started, download the Google Opinion Rewards app and log in with your Google account (or create a new one).
From there, you'll be asked to fill in some basic profile information (i.e. age, gender, languages) and location preferences. If you allow location tracking, you'll be able to receive location-specific surveys.
Earning money:
Once your account is created, all that's left to do is wait. When a survey pops up on your dashboard, you'll receive a notification. Try to take the survey as soon as you can as they can expire quite quickly.
As mentioned above, to receive more surveys, enable location sharing. This way, the platform will send you surveys relevant to areas you've visited recently. These typically pay more.
Cashing out:
Once you have at least $2.00 in your earnings balance, you can cash out via Google Play Credits or PayPal. Payouts typically take 0-1 days to be sent out.

Useful for in-app purchases
It's a semi passive income as you only have to answer a short survey, be careful of the surveys asking if you've searched, been to, or watched something that you haven't as those are to make sure you're not lying on the surveys which is pretty wack in opinion, especially if you've a bad memory like I do.
I'd recommend it to those who don't want to use real money on in-app purchases because it's a slippery slope, I haven't used Google rewards on anything but in-app purchases since there's not much you can do with it.
Surveys, they're pretty fun actually.
How sporadic the surveys are. Also the fact that PayPal payouts are only available on iOS.
Try searching more things on Google. Use Google assistant more. Answer those surveys quick because they expire within 24hrs. If you can't withdraw to PayPal (only available on IOS, that's wack) use the money for in-game rewards to further your goals on other apps that pay you to reach an arbitrary goal for x amount of money.

Good option to consider as a small source of extra money
In general, I like it! I don't think it would be one of the first apps I would think of I was trying to come up with a list of apps to recommend to a friend in search of moneymaking apps or sites, but I do think it's a good option to consider as a small source of extra money. There are definitely some drawbacks to it, such as the slow accumulation of earnings and the sharing of your location, but if someone is willing to accept those things, I would say it is worth doing. It is straightforward and easy to use, takes up very little time, and has been pretty reliable for me overall.
It's very easy to use! Most of the time, the questions are basically the same thing over and over, and involve asking if you've visited a certain store recently, and if so, if you bought anything there and how you paid for it. I think I have had one or two surveys that were slightly different before, but they're almost always just like this. The app uses your location information to get an idea of where you've been recently, so the stores it sends surveys about are usually places you've actually gone. This makes it more likely that you'll actually be able to complete each survey you're sent.
Even though I don't make a huge amount of money from this app, it's something that's very passive and easy to do, so it's still worth it! It's a nice bonus to have, and since it pays directly to PayPal, the money I make from it goes towards paying for things I buy online. Your earnings are automatically cashed out every time you reach $2, so even though accumulating earnings takes quite awhile, you don't actually have to wait very long to receive what you're earning. Payments are also sent pretty much instantly, which is nice!
I attempted to contact support once and they never answered me at all. To be fair, I only ever tried once, but it was still frustrating.
It's definitely not the kind of app where you're going to be able to accumulate a lot of money relatively quickly, but it is nice in its own right as a little additional source of extra money on the side.
It's necessary in order to use the app properly, but I don't love the idea that Google is able to access information about my location. Getting surveys at all on this app pretty much directly seems to depend on where you've been.
They send you notifications whenever a new survey is available, so make sure your notifications for Google Opinion Rewards are on! Otherwise, you will have to manually check the app, which might be difficult to remember since surveys don't come on a daily basis as with some apps.
Be sure to answer surveys as quickly as possible, because they do eventually expire.
Ensure that your PayPal account is set up properly and linked with the app before you reach the $2 payment threshold!

Don't use it as a main way of income.
I really like the app, it's an app that you can have installed for a long time and earn a little bit of money from time to time. I've been able to buy some app using only the money from the surveys. It's a really friendly introduction to the world of online money, but it's not a way to earn a main income.
The surveys are usually really short (no longer than 15 questions). The pay is good, considering that the surveys are small and non-invasive. It asks for little information about you. The money is 100% yours, no strings attached. It's an app that works perfectly in Mexico (something really rare).
The money can only be used in Google Play. Sometimes a really long time can go without receiving new surveys.
Have your location on. Give Google all the permissions you're comfortable with. Sometimes it will take a while to receive a new survey, be prepared for that.
