How to Start Earning on Clickworker

If you're brand new to Clickworker, here's the optimal way to get started:
First, before signing up, make sure you meet the requirements:
Requirements 🔎
Minimum Age: | 18 years old |
---|---|
Supported Locations: | Worldwide Clickworker temporarily closes registration for countries with too many workers and/or lack of available work. If your country is not listed as an option during the registration process, Clickworker recommends trying again later. |
Supported Languages: | Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, Deutsch, English, Español The Clickworker website seems to be available in English, French, and German only. The app has more supported languages. |
Supported Devices: | Computer, Smartphone, Tablet, Android Phone, Android Tablet Clickworker can be accessed via web browser on any device (user experience may vary) or via the Clickworker mobile app. |
Step 1: Start by creating a Clickworker account here or by clicking the image below:
Step 2: Fill out the Clickworker application form (previewed below) with your country of residence, first and last name, date of bith, address, email, and login details.

Step 3: Fill your profile with as much info as possible. Include every language you speak, your profession, degrees, skills, hobbies and know-hows.
Clickworker uses this info to assign you relevant tasks and assessments, so the more info you provide, the more work (and assessments) you'll receive. That being said, having a profile picture isn't necessary.

Step 4: Speaking of assessments, if it’s available, take the assessments for UHRS right away. If the assessments aren't available yet, head over to your dashboard and try some other tasks.
New tasks are added all the time so if there's nothing of interest right now, just come back a bit later.
Ways to Make Money on Clickworker

1. Training AI
These are the main tasks on Clickworker. They involve things like playing games while following specific instructions, recording audio clips, taking pictures, analyzing text in photos, and anything else that helps train AI systems.
Here are some real examples:

Depending on the tasks, expect something like $6-$8/hour here. However, these jobs don’t appear very often (maybe once a month or so).
Also, as a side note, some of these jobs are a bit creepy sounding. “Take 3 videos of your child swimming” ?? I understand it's for training AI and the images shouldn't ever be released publicly, but it's still a bit weird.
Luckily, you don't have to do any jobs you don't want to!
Tip: Look out for jobs with bonuses (like those in the image above).
2. UHRS

UHRS stands for Universal Human Relevance System.
The UHRS is a micro-tasking platform just like Clickworker, and it's where you can earn some of the best hourly rates. If you live in the US, you can reach $8-$9/hour or more on a good day.
Note: UHRS is a 3rd party platform not owned by Clickworker, they're just partnered. Therefore, any problems with this platform can not typically be solved using Clickworker support.
The UHRS includes micro-tasks involving:
- Data Collection
- Data Categorization
- Data Verification
- Data Labeling
- Web research
- Search Relevance
- Transcription
- and more
These microtasks usually only take a few seconds or minutes to complete, and they’re typically sent in batches of hundreds or thousands.
Tip: The UHRS isn't exclusive to Clickworker users so be sure to check the platform often for new jobs — they go quick!
How to Gain Access to the UHRS
To gain access to the UHRS you need to pass two assessments: UHRS I and UHRS II.
These are available under the “Assessments” section in your dashboard:

Note: You may have to complete some of the other tasks on Clickworker before you receive the UHRS assessment.
The first assessment (UHRS I) is a test where you need to prove that you understand basic English grammar. It'll evaluate your ability to perform tasks such as collecting data from websites.
You need to score at least 85% to pass. If you can understand this Clickworker review, that shouldn't be a problem.
The second assessment (UHRS II) is where you set up your UHRS account using a LiveID that links you to the Clickworker platform. This one is almost impossible to fail if you follow the instructions correctly.
Completing these two assessments will grant you 0.5€ or $0.5!
Heads up! These assessments are only repeatable once every 90 days, so if you want to start earning money fast, pay very close attention to the instructions.
How to Make Money on UHRS
After you’ve gained access to UHRS, you must “Start” the task in the Clickworker dashboard to activate the UHRS account for an 8-hour session.

Then, you will be prompted to log in using the LiveID you created on the UHRS page.
Note: This isn’t a permanent login. After your 8 hour session is up, you'll need to repeat the steps explained above to start a new UHRS session.
In the UHRS Marketplace, you'll see all the categories of work and the tasks that are available.

Some of them will require you to have a “Qualification” to gain access.
Others will have a “Preview” option where you can look at what the task entails before starting.
Finally, a few will have a “Training” option where you can solve tasks without getting penalized, but also without earning any money.
Tip: Always read the instructions carefully as you can be suspended mid-task if you fail the surprise accuracy checks.
3. Surveys
Clickworker also offers the occasional paid survey. Here are a few examples:

The job at the bottom of the image above (“Take part in several Surveys on our collaboration partner website Peanut Labs”) has a pretty steady stream of surveys, but don't count on it for much.
The amount of work you'll receive from Peanut Labs heavily depends on your demographics, and the pay isn't great anyway. Most surveys pay $0.5-$2 on average.
You can see how long a survey will take right on the dashboard, but the time estimate isn't perfect.
Tips:
- Answer as honestly as you can, as this can influence the number of surveys you get in the future.
- Try other dedicated survey sites for more (and better) paid surveys.
4. Referrals
Like most other sites, Clickworker also has a referral program. For each friend you refer that earns at least 10€ or $10 USD, you will earn a bonus of 5€ or $5 USD.

This is a nice way to earn some extra money on the platform.
Clickworker Tips and Tricks to Earn More Money
Ok, now that you know how to make money on Clickworker, let's look at some tips to help you earn more in less time.
1. Use the Clickworker Lounge
Clickworker has an active community forum where you can discuss anything and everything related to the platform. You can interact with other Clickworkers and even ask questions to mods instead of emailing support.
Be sure to use this area for help with tasks, earning tips, and more.
Note: To use the forum, you need to create a new account (your Clickworker login won't work).
2. Take Assessments
Assessments allow you to qualify for new jobs. I already mentioned the UHRS assessments above, but other assessments can show up too.
There are two types of assessments:
- Base Assessments – Qualifications for a wide range of current and future jobs (e.g. writing, editing, etc.).
- Project Specific Assessments – Special qualifications for specific jobs (e.g. UHRS).
Completing and successfully passing any type of assessment will open up you up to more paid opportunities, so be sure to take them when you get the chance.
Tip: Be sure to fill out and update your profile often to increase your chance of receiving new assessments.
Heads up! Some assessments are not repeatable, so before taking them, be sure you have enough time to complete them and that you're ready.
3. Visit Clickworker and UHRS regularly
Micro-jobs are not posted all at once, they are posted in batches multiple times a day/week. If you refresh Clickworker and UHRS multiple times a day, you'll increase your chances of finding a job.
