Earning and Saving Money 💵
There are a few ways to earn and save money with Checkout 51:
- Scanning in-store grocery receipts. Checkout 51 lists new grocery offers every week for things like snacks, supplements, toiletries, laundry products, and more. Select the offers you'd like to redeem to add them to your list, buy them, then scan your receipt to earn the cashback. Note that some products may need to be purchased from a specific store or may need to have their barcode scanned for verification. It's also important to confirm the size of the product on offer. Read each offer's details for this type of information.
- Scanning gas receipts. Available to U.S. members only. Simply browse the gas cashback map on Checkout 51, select your desired gas station offer, fill up and pay with a credit or debit card, and then upload your receipt.
- Shopping online. Checkout 51 partners with some online stores and services like Uber, Booking.com, and Groupon (subject to change). Simply shop through the app to earn cashback (no receipt scanning required).
- Taking surveys. Answer surveys from Checkout 51 and partners to earn. Before getting started, you'll need to answer a quick profile survey.
- Location sharing. If you share your location with Checkout 51, they'll occasionally send you "instant reward" notifications. Just tap them and you'll get some money.
- Bonuses. Checkout 51 will occasionally reward you for redeeming a certain number of offers, earning a certain amount of cashback, or similar. Keep an eye out for these in your dashboard or via notifications.
- Watching ads. Occasionally in the "All Offers" list the "More ways to save" category will contain a paid ad. Watch it in full to earn around $0.03.

We believe Checkout 51 is legit. It was founded in 2012, is owned and operated by CB Neptune Holdings (a well-known advertising company that's been around since 1997), and has plenty of positive reviews across the web. The only red flag we could find is the platform's lack of social media activity, but this in no way suggests Checkout 51 could be a scam.
Green flags:

Is Checkout 51 Worth It for Members? Is It a Good Way to Make Money?
Checkout 51 is a nice platform for saving a few bucks here and there on your groceries and gas. It won't drastically lower your bills but it can make a small dent for a low amount of effort. It's also not a bad way to discover new products and mix up your weekly meals.

Has some good cashback offers occasionally
- Easy to earn/save money. It's quick to scan the offers in the app and then scanning receipts is quick too. Doesn't take long for them to be approved either.
- Good payout options.
- Cashback amounts are usually pretty decent relative to the product price.
- Sometimes you'll have to reupload a receipt if it wasn't clear enough. Just a small hassle.
- Offer selection can really vary, sometimes there isn't really anything that interests me or fits into my meal planning.
- Check payments can take some time to be delivered though this is to be expected.
- Gas savings are only available in the US atm.
- They removed the referral program.
- Look at the Checkout 51 offers before you go shopping. That way you can plan your grocery list around cashback offers. I'll occasionally find new products/foods/etc. to buy because of Checkout 51 as well.
- Make sure to scan your receipt and claim your offers as soon as you're home from the store. Since the offers reset on Thursday if you don't claim by then you'll miss out on your cashback. Best to just get it done asap.
