How Does AskingCanadians Work?
For Members
To become an AskingCanadians member, you'll first need to sign up via the website or app. Signing up is free and requires you to share your first name, last name, email, gender, postal code, date of birth, preferred payout option, language, level of education, and employment status. (You can change these later if needed.)
After creating your account and confirming your email address, you'll be prompted to fill out a few questions for your survey profile. These ask for info about your marital status, approximate annual household income, and ethnic origins. These are pretty standard for paid survey platforms and help AskingCanadians match you with relevant surveys.
Once your profile is complete, you'll be able to access the AskingCanadians member dashboard. Here, you'll find your available paid surveys. You'll also receive survey invitations via email.
Before starting a paid survey, you'll be able to see an approximate estimate of how long the survey will take and how much it pays. The surveys seem to come from a variety of market research companies, so you'll be asked about a range of different topics.
If you start a survey and don't end up qualifying, you'll either earn 5 points for trying or be entered into a draw to win a "thank you" reward.
Cashing out:
Once you have at least $0.01 (~1 Points) in your earnings balance, you can cash out via Gift Cards, Rewards Points or Travel Rewards Points. Payouts typically take 7-60 days to be sent out.

Editorial AskingCanadians Review
Is AskingCanadians Legit?
We believe AskingCanadians is legit due to its longstanding reputation as a paid survey platform. Founded in 2005, the platform has been surveying Canadians for a very long time. On top of that, Delvinia, the company that originally founded AskingCanadians, was founded back in 1998 and was later acquired by Schlesinger Group, a company that's been doing data collection since 1965.
We have no reason to believe that AskingCanadians is a scam.

Won't make you rich but it's a good platform for what it is
I would recommend joining if you want to contribute your opinion on Canadian issues and products. The rewards are more of a secondary benefit and are not going to sustain you. If you don’t like staring at a screen for too long, I would look elsewhere.
Surveys are directly catered to Canadian brands, politics etc. Customer support is great. Easy and mindless work.
Hard to see your point balance. You can only cash out once a month (if using AC points). No direct cashout method (i.e. PayPal). Limited opportunities to earn that are out of your control. Only one way to earn (surveys).
Occasionally a survey will ask if they can follow-up with you to participate in a second-part of the research study or to learn more about your choices. This is rare, but offers additional rewards.
