Pros
- Pretty passive income - you can earn $10.00 by doing what you already do. Unlike many apps, you won't need to spend hours of your time answering surveys - simply by installing the app, connecting your device(s) and waiting a couple of months, you can earn some cash!
- Evidation allows you to get healthier. It gives you real motivation to stick with a good activity until it becomes a habit. It lets you track your progress with a daily diary and the maximum point cap per day encourages you to be consistent with your health goals.
- Many different ways of earning points and cashing out. While it can take a while to rack up points with surveys and exercising, there's massive earning potential when completing research studies.
Pros
- Is free and easy to use.
- Can motivate you to exercise more and improve your health by rewarding you for walking outside.
- Works with both Android and Apple devices.
Cons
- Members need to be comfortable with sharing their personal health data. Although the app says this data is used for research, you ultimately don't know where your data is going to end up.
- Takes a while to earn enough points to cash out. For most people, Evidation's earning potential is pretty small – if you earn the maximum points you can a day with health tracking (100) and don't complete any offers, it'll take you 100 days to reach the minimum payout amount.
- Health tracking can glitch, resulting in fewer awarded points. Integrations with things like Fitbit aren't perfect.
Cons
- Takes a long time and a lot of steps to accumulate SWEAT/SWC.
- Has a daily/monthly limit on how many SWEAT/SWC you can earn if you're not a premium member.
- Has limited rewards options. Especially recently, finding gift cards or actual cash-based rewards seems impossible.
