How This Review Was Made
This Clickworker review was put together with help from u/Siaght, a Reddit user from Portugal. After using Prolific for a month or so (earning a total of $35 in the process), they summarized their personal experience and findings for me.
Next, I did a bit of my own independent research into the safety, legitimacy, and reputation of Prolific, and finally edited everything together for this in-depth review. Enjoy!

Is Clickworker Legit?
Based on the info above, Clickworker's transparency, and the fact that there are over two million active users on the platform, it's pretty clear that Clickworker is legit and not trying to intentionally scam anyone. They've been around since 2005 and are one of the most reputable companies in their space.
However, that doesn't mean they're great to work for. They do payout (payment proof below), but be sure to keep reading this review for more details on how much they pay and more.

Is Clickworker Safe?
Clickworker is safe to use. It's a legitimate site, it won't try to collect any sensitive information from you without reason, and it'll never sell your data. Still, do your own due diligence and only complete tasks on Clickworker that you're comfortable with.
Clickworker Support Quality
Clickworker’s support service has always been very fast and helpful whenever I've needed to use it (which hasn't been often).
For example, when I needed them to solve a problem with access to the UHRS (more on this below), I sent them an email and they settled things in a day.
The support team is also present in the community forum which is a great feature (more details below).
How Clickworker Works

Clickworker at its core is a crowdsourcing marketplace for inexpensive labor. Businesses and organizations use Clickworker to get simple tasks done quickly and cheaply, while others (known as Clickworkers) complete these small tasks for extra cash.
If you sign up to become a Clickworker, you'll be working as an independent contractor paid on a per-task basis. (More on earning potential below.)
The paid tasks you'll find on Clickworker can involve all sorts of things, but almost none of them require any special skills.
Some example of potential jobs include:
- Writing
- Categorizing data
- Editing and Proofreading jobs
- Researching
- Completing surveys
- Mystery shopping
- App testing
- Taking photos
- Recording audio and video
- and more
You can complete these jobs whenever you like — through your desktop, tablet, or smartphone — completely on your own schedule.

There’s also an option to do assessments to qualify for other jobs. More on that later.
Clickworker Earning Potential
With Clickworker, the amount you can expect to earn varies greatly based on the country you live in (US and Germany typically have the most offers), the jobs available on any given day, and your efficiency.
Siaght, who lives in Portugal, did about $31 in a month as a new user (there wasn't a ton of work available), earning roughly $5/hour with Clickworker and UHRS (more on this below).
Looking at other Clickworkers online, hourly rates seem to vary a TON. This Quora user claimed to earn $6 to $40/hour, with an avg. of $12/hour. This Reddit user claimed $13 to $18/hour.
In the end:
You'll have to test it out yourself to get an accurate look at your earning potential, but expect anywhere from $4-$12/hour on average.
Also, don't expect to have enough work available on Clickworker to work a full 40 hour week. This site is not a job replacement.
Payment Proof
In less than one month of working on Clickworker, Siaght cashed out 11.92€ (equivalent to $14) with 15.72€ (+- $17) pending for withdraw.
Here's the PayPal payment proof:

After cashing out the money, it took Siaght one working day to receive it.

Summary
Clickworker is one of the better micro-tasking sites for earning easy money from home or on the go. Still, the hourly rates on the platform aren't great ($4-$12/hour), and there isn't always a ton of work available for completing, so don't rely on it too heavily.
Ways to Earn Money as a Clickworker

1. Training AI
These are the main tasks on Clickworker. They involve things like playing games while following specific instructions, recording audio clips, taking pictures, analyzing text in photos, and anything else that helps train AI systems.
Here are some real examples:

Depending on the tasks, expect something like $6-$8/hour here. However, these jobs don’t appear very often (maybe once a month or so).
Also, as a side note, some of these jobs are a bit creepy sounding. “Take 3 videos of your child swimming” ?? I understand it's for training AI and the images won't ever be released publicly, but it's still a bit weird.
Luckily, you don't have to do any jobs you don't want to!
Tip: Look out for jobs with bonuses (like those in the image above).
2. UHRS

UHRS stands for Universal Human Relevance System.
The UHRS is a micro-tasking site just like Clickworker, and it's where you can earn some of the best hourly rates. If you live in the US, you can reach $8-$9/hour or more on a good day.
Note: UHRS is a 3rd party platform not owned by Clickworker, they're just partnered. Therefore, any problems with this platform can not be solved using Clickworker support.
The UHRS includes micro-tasks involving:
- Data Collection
- Categorization
- Verification
- Sentiment Analysis
- Web research
- Search Relevance
These microtasks usually only take a few seconds or minutes to complete, and they’re typically sent in batches of hundreds or thousands.
Tip: The UHRS isn't exclusive to Clickworker users so be sure to check the platform often for new jobs — they go quick!
How to Gain Access to the UHRS
To gain access to the UHRS you need to pass two assessments: UHRS I and UHRS II.
These are available under the “Assessments” section in your dashboard:

Note: You may have to complete some of the other tasks on Clickworker before you receive the UHRS assessment.
The first assessment (UHRS I) is a test where you need to prove that you understand basic English grammar. It'll evaluate your ability to perform tasks such as collecting data from websites.
You need to score at least 85% to pass. If you can understand this Clickworker review, that shouldn't be a problem.
The second assessment (UHRS II) is where you set up your UHRS account using a LiveID that links you to the Clickworker platform. This one is almost impossible to fail if you follow the instructions correctly.
Completing these two assessments will grant you 0.5€ or $0.5!
Heads up! These assessments are only repeatable once every 90 days, so if you want to start earning money fast, pay very close attention to the instructions.
How to Make Money on UHRS
After you’ve gained access to UHRS, you must “Start” the task in the Clickworker dashboard to activate the UHRS account for an 8-hour session.

Then, you will be prompted to log in using the LiveID you created on the UHRS page.
Note: This isn’t a permanent login. After your 8 hour session is up, you'll need to repeat the steps explained above to start a new UHRS session.
In the UHRS Marketplace, you'll see all the categories of work and the tasks that are available.

Some of them will require you to have a “Qualification” to gain access.
Others will have a “Preview” option where you can look at what the task entails before starting.
Finally, a few will have a “Training” option where you can solve tasks without getting penalized, but also without earning any money.
Tip: Always read the instructions carefully as you can be suspended mid-task if you fail the surprise accuracy checks.
3. Surveys
Clickworker also offers the occasional paid survey. Here are a few examples:

The job at the bottom of the image above (“Take part in several Surveys on our collaboration partner website Peanut Labs”) has a pretty steady stream of surveys, but don't count on it for much.
The amount of work you'll receive from Peanut Labs heavily depends on your demographics, and the pay isn't great anyway. Most surveys pay $0.5-$2 on average.
You can see how long a survey wil take right on the dashboard, but the time estimate isn't perfect.
Tips:
- Answer as honestly as you can, as this can influence the number of surveys you get in the future.
- Try other dedicated survey sites for more (and better) paid surveys.
4. Referrals
Like most other sites, Clickworker also has a referral program. For each friend you refer that earns at least 10€ or $10 USD, you will earn a bonus of 5€ or $5 USD.

This is a nice way to earn some extra money on the platform.
How to Withdraw Your Earnings
In Clickworker there's no “cashout” option. There are no gift cards or other physical gifts either. Every payment is automatic and in real cash.
In order to get paid, be sure to enter your payment details on your account:

Note: In most cases, Clickworker will ask you to provide your SSN (Social Security Number) before they send payment. This is for invoicing and tax purposes and it's (IMO) safe to provide as Clickworker is a legitimate and trustworthy company.
Here are the 3 payment processors offered:
1. PayPal
PayPal payments are sent automatically every week between Wednesday and Friday when you have at least 5€ or $5 in your payable balance. To get paid, you'll need a verified PayPal account owned by you.
2. Bank Transfer
Bank Transfer payments are available to Clickworkers that belong to the SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) and are sent automatically on the 7th or 8th of the next month. If this falls on a public holiday or weekend, the payment is done on the next working day.
3. TransferWise
Transferwise payments are available to users from countries where neither PayPal nor SEPA payments are an option. They're sent automatically every two weeks when you have at least 10€ or $10 in your payable balance.
Additional Clickworker Features
1. Clickworker Lounge
Clickworker has an active community forum where you can discuss anything and everything related to this site. You can interact with other Clickworkers and even ask questions to mods instead of emailing support. Usually, it’s quick to get an answer.
Note: To use the forum, you need to create a new account (your Clickworker login won't work).
2. Assessments
Assessments allow you to qualify for new jobs. I already mentioned the UHRS assessments above (which are essential if you want to make the most out of Clickworker), but other assessments can show up too.
There are two types of assessments:
- Base Assessments – Qualifications for a wide range of current and future jobs (e.g. writing, editing, etc.).
- Project Specific Assessments – Special qualifications for specific jobs (e.g. UHRS).
Completing and successfully passing any type of assessment will open up you up to more paid opportunities, so be sure to take them when you get the chance.
Keep in mind though that, especially for those that are not native English speakers, assessments can be few and far between.
To receive particular assessments, your profile has to match specific requirements such as language skills, country of origin, having a verified account that already passed other assessments, or even having experience in specific fields on Clickworker.
Tip: Be sure to fill out and update your profile often to increase your chance of receiving new assessments.
Heads up! Some assessments are not repeatable, so before taking them, be sure you have enough time to complete them and that you're ready.
Additional Clickworker Tips
1. Visit Clickworker and UHRS regularly
Micro-jobs are not posted all at once, they are posted in batches multiple times a day/week. If you refresh Clickworker and UHRS multiple times a day, you increase your chances of finding a job.
Clickworker Pros and Cons
The Good
- Great job variety – Clickworker offers jobs related to playing games, recording audio, taking pictures, data collection, categorization, verification, sentiment analysis, web research, surveys, and more.
- Available worldwide – Almost anyone of at least 18 years old can use Clickworker
- Good payment methods – PayPal is one of the most common payment methods used worldwide, and TransferWise is awesome too (and offers even better exchange rates).
- Access to the UHRS – There are a lot of opportunities to earn money here, and Clickworker is one of the few sites offering access.
- Works on mobile and tablet – Earn cash everywhere. There are even some specific tasks only available on the mobile app.
- Pays in Euro € or USD – Even if neither of these are your main currency, the exchange rate on them is typically good.
- You can work offline – After accepting a job, you can complete it offline and then submit it when you're connected to the internet again.
- Job alerts are convenient – These come in via email or mobile if you have the app downloaded with alerts enabled. Keep in mind, sometimes these notifications may come in too late if a job has limited spots available.
The Bad
- Inconsistent income – There’s no guarantee that you will find jobs every day on Clickworker.
- Some qualifications are hard – In the UHRS, sometimes even when you read the instructions carefully, the qualifications don’t make much sense and are hard to pass. Fortunately, this doesn't happen often, but it's still annoying.
- There aren't many tasks for non-native English speakers
- Glitches – Sometimes Clickworker offers just lead to broken webpages, which can be pretty dissapointing when you find a job you're excited for.
How to Get Started on Clickworker
Getting started with Clickworker is easy. Here's a step-by-step breakdown:
Step 1: Start by creating a Clickworker account here or by clicking the image below:

Step 2: Fill out the Clickworker application form (previewed below) with your country of residence, first and last name, date of bith, address, email, and login details.
Info like your address is needed for tax purposes.

Step 3: Fill your profile with as much info as possible. Include every language you speak, your profession, degrees, skills, hobbies and know-hows.
As mentioned above, Clickworker uses this info to assign you relevant tasks and assessments, so the more you provide, the more work (and assessments) you'll receive. That being said, having a profile picture isn't necessary.

Step 4: Speaking of assessments, if it’s available, take the assessments for the UHRS right away. If the assessments aren't available yet, head over to your dashboard and try some other tasks.
Remember: New tasks are added all the time so if there's nothing of interest right now, just come back a bit later.
Good luck! Once you've been using Clickworker for a bit, come back and leave a Clickworker review down in the comments sharing your experience.

Final Thoughts
Depending on what you're looking for, becoming a Clickworker can be a great way to earn extra money by doing small, easy jobs. There’s a lot of variety on the platform, the pay is decent, and it's flexible (you can even work on the go with the Clickworker app!).
Still, work availability on Clickworker is pretty inconsistent, so don't rely on it as a full-time income source.

Well, click worker is not avalible in all countries. Can you suggest a similar site that is available to all countries
I’d suggest looking into MTurk, Toloka.yandex, and Remotasks. They all will have similar tasks. I’ll have a full guide on micro job sites out soon so be on the lookout for that!
